Creamy pasta salad in herb and citrus dressing
We are often asked how we use our ready made sauces. In this recipe for creamy pasta salad in herb and citrus dressing, we demonstrate perhaps a less conventional way of using our creamy herb sauce.
Our creamy herb and white wine sauce has everything you need to make a beautifully tasty pasta salad. With the addition of a little mayonnaise and a squirt of fresh lime juice, this brightens up the palette and will leave you wanting more.
Creamy pasta salad in herb and citrus dressing – serves 2 – 4
8 ounces/250 grams Pasta Nostra USA shaped pasta (here we have used Gigli, also known as Campanelle)
1/4 16 oz Jar Pasta Nostra Creamy white wine and herb sauce
Juice and zest of 2 small to medium lime
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
1/2 – 1 teaspoon salt
- Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet. Drain and run under cold, running water to stop it cooking further, then drain again. Toss the pasta in the olive oil and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, bring all of the other ingredients together and combine well.
- Check the seasoning before adding the pasta and mixing well.
- Cover and chill in the fridge for up to 1 hour before serving.
