Yet another one of Enzo’s amazing recipes with shrimp
Yet another one of Enzo’s amazing recipes with shrimp: I will take this opportunity to warn anyone who might be looking forward to eating on of Enzo’s delightful meals, that for whatever reason, they do take a great deal of time to reach the table.
This being said, we always have some snacks. I suspect you’re wondering why I don’t know what takes so long – he keeps the kitchen door shut and it was only by chance that my mother and I managed to get this photograph as he was preparing the shrimp for the oven. Or was it the grill?:
Finally Enzo is directing us from behind the closed kitchen door to start laying the table. White wine, warm bread, napkins (and plenty of them) and dinner is served. These shrimp were very tasty and required little to no seasoning. Buon appetitto!

“Enzo! Recipe! …. Enzo!? Where’s he gone?? Well it is 4.30 in the afternoon … guess he’s out collecting more fish for the menu tonight. So as we wait for Enzo to come back and share with us his recipe, I can try to do my best and guess what he did with those shrimp, by studying the evidence he left behind him in the kitchen.
You will need:
- 3 – 4 saucepans for no apparent reason other than to make them dirty
- The grill on
- The oven on
- A frying pan
- A bottle of wine
- Some salt, fresh lemon, lemon zester, chilli flakes, pepper, garlic (crushed)
- Olive oil, which you put into every pan
- An oven tray
- The inability to understand how the dishwasher works
- 2 women stupid enough to offer to clear up after you
The key to the whole dish is evidently NOT (and I mean most definately NOT) to turn on the kitchen fan or to open any doors or windows while grilling, frying, broiling or baking and you will eventually arrive at this:
“ENZO!!”
